Currently the Search results layout (and all default WordPress posts pages: Blog, Archive, Author, Tag, Category,…, etc) have the same layout which you can customize from Theme Options > Blog.
Note concerning the search results: The used search is the default WordPress search function which includes all site content by default, however, customizing it will require custom code to add the custom functionalities, or you can install a WordPress plugin that provides the search functionality depending on your needs.
