pixfort Theme is translation-ready, allowing you to localize your website using a WordPress translation plugin (for example Loco Translate plugin). This guide will walk you through the process.
Install Loco Translate Plugin
To do this you should install install Loco translate plugin from WordPress admin panel → Plugins → Add new.

Translate pixfort Theme
- Go to WordPress admin panel → Loco Translate → Themes
- Click on pixfort
- Click New language.
- Select your desired language (e.g., French).
- Under Choose a location, select Custom to ensure translations are preserved after theme updates or WordPress updates.
- Click Start translating.
- In the translation editor:
- Use the Filter translations field to search for specific strings.
- Click on a source text string.
- Enter the translated text in the French translation field.
- Click Save to store your translations.
Translate pixfort Core Plugin
- Go to WordPress admin panel → Loco Translate → Plugins.
- Click on pixfort Core.
- Click New language.
- Select your desired language (e.g., French).
- Under Choose a location, select Custom.
- Click Start translating.
- In the translation editor:
- Use the Filter translations field to search for specific strings.
- Click on a source text string.
- Enter the translated text in the French translation field.
- Click Save to store your translations.
Set the Site Language
- Navigate to your WordPress dashboard.
- Go to Settings → General.
- Under Site Language, select the language corresponding to your translation files.
- Save the changes.
Your website should now display the translated text based on the provided translations that you’ve added into Loco Translate plugin 👍
Synchronizing Translations After Updates
After updating the pixfort theme or plugin, new strings may be introduced. To ensure all strings are available for translation:
- Go to the respective translation (theme or plugin) in Loco Translate.
- Click on the Sync button to fetch new strings.
- Translate any new strings as needed and click Save.
